Subject: [CT Birds] Today’s New Haven Bird Club 1st Wednesday Walk
Westport-Sherwood Island SP-
It was hard to believe that just four days ago we were freezing and bundled up in winter clothes and today we were in need of sunscreen and shedding our jackets due to it being too warm!
I was joined by 9 participants on today’s walk which I added so no one had to be turned away. We tallied 63 species with nice diversity. Highlights included the large mixed flock of Pine Siskins and American Goldfinches feeding on the lawn and the continuing large number of Common Loons on Long Island Sound, many very close to shore and very vocal!

Click on the link below to view our eBird checklist with the birds seen and heard today. Thank you to all that attended and I look forward to next week’s First Wednesday Walk on 11/11.
