Subject: [CT Birds] CACC
11/4 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 9am-10:25am, low tide
rising, 54F, sunny.
Highlight of the morning was watching a Cooper's hawk bathing and drinking
in the water fountain, then preening on a branch above. It was there for
about 25 minutes.
On the grounds & observation platform by marsh: 14 Goldfinches-feeding on
reeds and at feeders, American black ducks, Black bellied plovers, 2 Song
sparrow, 3 White throated sparrows, Cardinals, Starlings flew over,
Robins, Chickadees, 2 Pine siskins at feeders.
On the edge of paved private road 1 Field sparrow was feeding.
Brief walk along edge of lagoon-& beach side, Brant, Canada Geese, Black
bellied plovers, Semi palmated sandpipers .
