Subject: [CT Birds] Ground feeding Kinglets
There may be two explanations for the observation, both having to do with the wind: if the winds were strong during the observation, the birds may have been going low to get out of the wind. They are tiny and weigh only 2/10th of an ounce! The second, more likely explanation is that the strong winds blew their food down to the ground. Great to see them so close!
