The maps show a lot of Woodhouse’s Scrub Jays close to Oregon, but here is a map that shows Woodhouse’s with photo documentation.

Quite a difference!

Always interested in these two species, and given the long standing expansion of California SJ east I hooked up possible areas of overlap

now or in the future for Oregon. See attached map. I've crudely drawn in the SE Oregon borders.

According to eBird there is no real chance in NE Oregon. No Woodhouse SJs in sight and this region is not shown in the attached map.

The chance in SE Oregon appears very slight, barring some sort of weird, one-time vagrancy.

Of course, this is only what has been reported to eBird. Who knows if anything else is out there
