Subject: Yard Migrants
Išm taking advantage of the break between the afternoon symposium and the
evening program of the Arkansas Audubon Society fall meeting to share the
amazing variety of fall migrants in my suburban yard today, a collection of
species I infrequently see here that occurred together in various
combinations this morning and early afternoon.

Eastern Phoebe
House Wren
Winter Wren
Eastern Towhee male and female
Song Sparrow 2
Lincolnšs Sparrow
Swamp Sparrow yard bird
Chipping Sparrow
CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
Tennessee Warbler
Indigo Bunting up to 4 at a time

All of these birds except the phoebe were feeding on and taking cover in the
native plants that fill my yard, including Switchgrass and Cutleaf
Coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata) seeds. None of them visited my feeders.
