Subject: [sbcobirding] LLC Saturday
Nico and I took a lunch time walk at the lake. Surprising was the American Bittern that stood out in the open for at least half an hour; we saw it looking across the lake from the east end of the dam. Eleven Greater Yellowlegs was a good count, and there were a dozen dowitcher sp. A Lawrence's Goldfinch flew over.
I heard from others that the Pacific Golden Plover is still present at Goleta Beach.
