Subject: [Arlington Birds] Northern Waterthrush at Sandy Beach 10/17
After last night’s rain there’s water again in the little pond at Sandy Beach, and a Northern Waterthrush was bobbing its way along the edge this morning. This is possibly the same one that has been around for about a month now. A few other birders and I saw it recently on the 11th (along with an early Fox Sparrow!).

Also at the pond were five Yellow-rumped Warblers and a Blackpoll. A few more Blackpolls were eating Spindle (Euonymous) berries in the bushes up near the flagpole, as they do nearly every fall.
