Subject: [va-bird] Good morning at Huntley Meadows (MARSH WREN)
Birdcast predicted a good flight last night, and that appeared to be the
case. There were dozens of migrants (mostly kinglets and yellow-rumps, and
surprising numbers of blackpolls) along the Hike/Bike Trail before I got to
the first meadow. Best bird was a marsh wren by the water control
structure. Other notable birds:
Black duck 1
Phoebe 3
BH vireo 1
GC kinglet 18
RC kinglet 17
RB nut 2
Swainson's thrush 4
WT sparrow 15
song 15
swamp 8
towhee 2
blackpoll 8
palm 1
Yellow-rump 25
BTG 1
