At Lower Fourmile in SW Coos which is adjacent to New River a few miles
south of Bandon. I arrived at 0815 and saw a flock of several hundred PINE
SISKINS headed north. Well flocks of between 50 and 400 keep rolling on by-
all headed north. In the 45 minutes I have been here I am now up to 6,550
siskins, 250 Red Crossbills, a few hundred YR Warblers, and just a few
pipits. The siskin numbers are crazy!

Time to head south but the siskins keep pouring north!
