Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Oct 16, 2020 15:44 by David Compton
- UCSB--East beach (formerly Goleta Bay West beach), Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.8419678&<ll...>,-119.8419678
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S74902938
- Media: 5 Photos
- Comments: "Continuing duller individual with relatively long wings for this species, but only three primaries clearly showing beyond the tetrials. Legs long and bill particularly large for a golden plover species. The face pattern in the photos almost suggest this bird is an American Golden-Plover, with the supercilium looking white than the rest of the face. In person, and in photos by a lot of other observers, but the supercilium was duller and not really contrasting. All grrayish underwings seen well several times."

Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Oct 15, 2020 15:44 by Aaron Kreisberg
- UCSB--East beach (formerly Goleta Bay West beach), Santa Barbara, California

Also lighter coloring on the back with faint bronze color closer to the rump. Lighter eye-brow with a dark patch just behind and below the eye. Primaries past tertial feathers."

Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) (1) CONFIRMED

The bird has a pronounced supercilium and faint, narrow streaks on the sides of the breast overlain with a slight duskiness. Bill size and shape similar to those of Dunlin. Long legs."

- Comments: "This bird was first discovered a month ago on September 16 by Florence Sanchez, and this is the fourth time I’ve observed it at this location. This was a juvenile bird with light edged lower scapulars giving it a scaly appearance, but the upper scapulars now appear to be molting. It was somewhat reminiscent of a Dunlin, but slightly larger, its black decurved bill was thinner, and its black legs were longer. It had a broad white supercilium, and a white rump. It also had a gray wash on its breast."

Scott's Oriole (Icterus parisorum) (1)
- Reported Oct 15, 2020 08:44 by Mario Borunda
- CA, Carpinteria, Carpinteria Creek & Beach, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.5175171&<ll...>,-119.5175171
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S74897477
- Comments: "Continuing. Very scruffy, with yellow and black dominant colors. It's scruffiness obscures the normal Scott's color patterns. It's upper chest, neck, and head appears splotchy, mottled- muted black on the yellowish base. Lower belly brighter yellow with no blotches. Large black bill and short tail. It looked like the bird in the great pictures taken by Noah Arthur on 10/13. Although the pics don't quite capture its scruffiness."
