This morning I found two surprises at the park. The first was an Olive-sided Flycatcher on the desert side of the 14th fairway. It was actively hawking insects from several perches.
The second was a female Dickcissel foraging with a Lark Sparrow and Vermillion Flycatcher between the 7th green and on the 8th tee.
I spent 10 minutes stalking each bird, and got a couple fair photos.
