Subject: nuthatch trifecta and a bunch of feeder drama
Greetings all,
3 species of nuthatch at the feeders station. An awesome sight, although it's not all peace and understanding. The lone White-breasted & lone Red-breasted are definitely over-matched by the pugnacious, feisty family group of 5 Brown-headed. There have been moments when the whole BH family was chasing away the WB and while they were away the RB is sneaking in to get a sunflower seed. Or vice versa.
Looks like I'll be filling the tube feeders each day.
Cheers, Leif at Hector
