Subject: [obol] Philomath Ponds in the smoke
Hi all,

I braved the yellow skies and smoky haze for some sewage pond birding this
morning. My mask came in handy for something besides COVID for a change. :)

Highlights included one SANDERLING on the NW pond (first spotted by Will
Wright), one BAIRD'S SANDPIPER on C pond; 21 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES, and the
first BUFFLEHEAD and AMERICAN PIPIT of the season.

Full list and some photos here:

Happy fall birding!
