I was driving Pioneer Road around 11:10 and saw a juvenile soaring with 2 adults over the field near Ruby Ranch Rd. Pretty exciting!

I thought I heard the weak cries again day before yesterday, but I got lucky just now, at 11:30, after hearing them again, and sighted it off to the northwest of me. I was incorrect when I said northeast last time....sorry! dyslexic as I am.

Likewise the white on the tail. It was making a repeated call, the "rather weak, high yelping" described by Sibley. There was a Turkey Vulture circling around with it.

With the bins I got some really great views. The T.V. circled back my way. I've seen them through the years during the summer months, but never flying this low to be able to see above and below. Such a treat!
