Was Joined by David S and Dale W. (And later by Chris H and Stuart N). When the first storm band passed over the sky was littered with tightly packed magnificent frigatebirds over land (Harris) and over water (Harris/Chambers). We had 88 together and a estimated total of 102 in Harris (which appears to be the ebird all-time high for Harris County).
Also had 8 Brown Boobies (5 in Harris County) and seven tern species plus black skimmers.
All in all a birdy afternoon. Winds were <20MPH. Weather often sunny, very limited rain.
No truely rare species so far but nice numbers.
Be safe especially in Jefferson County!
