Subject: [southbaybirds] More Western Screech-Owl songs
Between 5:05 AM and 5:29 AM this morning (7/31) I had two singing WESTERN SCREEH-OWLS in my back yard. I assume that they were a pair as one had a deeper tone to its Bouncing Ball (Tremolo) than the other. (Not sure if this would be the male or the female.) The higher pitched song appeared to come from one of my European Birch trees and the other in a neighbors "bush tree" 20 feet away, Saved a recording this time.
Take care,
Bob Reiling
