Subject: [sd-birds] James River
So i checked out the shore birds this morning. I think there were about
5000. The river keep going down. Mud flat drying up. Birds are congregating
to smaller area. It was quite the spectacle.

Today i had avocets but they didn't stay long. Plentiful pectorals feeding
in the water. More dowitchers, trying to find a rarity but no luck.

This is at 407th and James River in Sanborn county. Mostly on west side of
road.

Something spooked all of the birds. Would a peregrine be possible? I
