This morning 3 UPLAND SANPIPERS were roaming the east fields of Sand Point's access road. They weren't unexpected as they have showed up in previous autumns. These fields looked good for Buff-breasted Sandpipers but only Killdeer today. Other shorebirds were few even though the mud flats are extensive.
Also, the male BLUE GROSEBEAK, of past sightings, was singing atop a dead tree on the west side of James Ave. (at the first turn).
