I’ve certainly seen a lot of poorwills on the roads in the middle of the night presumably hunting. Nighthawks are seen more in crepuscular times but also are often heard hours after dark.

Do nighthawks, poorwills and/or other goatsuckers feed at night, or only at dusk?
