They could have been menhaden, although they looked more slender. The size was 8 to 12 inches. That makes me feel better about the osprey.

What kind of fish if you know. Menhaden (bunker) sometimes die off in hot weather.

I'm concerned about the osprey. If the fish were killed by bleach, I hope the concentrations have leveled out enough not to harm the birds.
