Regarding the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, I saw it fly several times. I do not know whether the legs extended beyond the tail or not. It seemed to be flying well.

It looks good for YCNH. Did you see it fly? If so did the legs project beyond the tail?

I saw this bird at Dunbar Slough on the boat ramp at the north end of Ave. B in Greene County. It is an immature heron. It appears to me that it is a Yellow-crowned Night Heron, given the distinct streaks on the breast. Let me know what you think.
