Yesterday was my first birding experience in a hay-field region (Emmitsburg), and predictably I heard some birds I couldn't identify. The birds sings at the beginning and end of the attached recording. I was thinking Northern Waterthrush, but am learning that's unlikely this late in the spring, and the song is shorter than that.
This was recorded at 11 a.m. June 6 along a tree line near Elder Cemetery.
If there's a better place for me to post audio recordings than this email group, feel free to let me know! I'm recording in .wav, but guessing it's better to post .mp3 to keep the file sizes smaller. Thank you! I've been using the various online resources for sound files, but sometimes you can't replace asking real live people. :)
