Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Nice Backyard Count on cloudy afternoon
Upon re-leaving my house on Elkhart's near west side (in city limits) this afternoon, shortly after 1pm, I heard a number of warblers singing, so I decided to investigate further, grabbed the binocs and started scanning the trees. On a quite cloudy and muggy afternoon, I got some very brightly coloured warblers, as well as two (!!) Scarlet Tanagers singing in trees on either end of the property. List is below and on E-Bird (includes flyovers):
