A number of birds that prefer to eat insects have been showing up at my feeders, notably Baltimore Orioles and Indigo Buntings. I've never had so much use by these species in spring. A friend reported a Yellow Warbler at her feeders - very unusual.
I think our cooler-than-usual weather has affected the insect populations, and for those who stop feeding at this time of year I suggest you consider putting out food.
I'm still seeing a Pine Siskin or two, making me hope that a few are remaining in the area to breed.
