Cool and cloudy on the summit of Bradbury Mountain today. Light northeast winds in the morning quickly turned east then southeast through the afternoon bringing cold air off the bay.
Light northeast winds and quickly rising temperatures made for a good flight through the morning. However, as winds quickly turned southeast and temperatures dropped through the afternoon, migration tapered off with only a few Turkey Vultures still moving.
22 species were recorded from the summit today. Non-raptor species deemed migrating included: 77 American Goldfinches 2 European Starlings
Light north to northeast winds will start the day, quickly turning east and then southeast through the afternoon. A lot like today, if conditions are favorable, some birds may be moving in the earlier parts of the day.
