Greetings all,

Thanks to Zoom technology and our Board’s approval, our meeting tonight will be the official club meeting for March. That said, we will be brief with updates and no check-list reading. The focus will be on seeing as many smiling faces as possible, and of course Lauren’s presentation. Thanks to Joe Gyekis for working with our speaker to make this happen,
all the best,

Hello Everyone,
Some more details about our meeting tomorrow night.
If you'd like to join the meeting a couple minutes early to figure out the system, starting around 6:40 we'll be there, probably typing in the chat about some fun bird sightings that have come up recently and testing the speakers' microphones/screenshares.
There has been a request to record the meeting, and we will try to make a recording at least of Lauren's presentation. This will be distributed by email the next day after the meeting if it works out.
If you click this link to join the meeting, it should work out as long as you follow the instructions to install zoom if it asks you to.
See you there at 7ish tomorrow evening.

P.S. a bird note, on my afternoon bike ride an adult Cooper's Hawk landed in a tree, grabbed a twig, and flew off with it. Subject: Zoom link for Wednesday's meeting

Hello everyone,

This Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. our meeting will take place completely online.

We hope this is an opportunity to connect with some new people who have not been able to join our meetings before.

Anyone who is interested in hearing Lauren Schricker from Pitt give a program titled “Making the most of managed forest: using automated recording units to monitor bird arrival and diversity in Sproul State Forest” can click the link below at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

If it is your first time using zoom, the link may ask you to install zoom. When I did it, it only took a couple clicks. The plan is for everyone to be muted when you first join, but if you wish to join your audio you will be able to do that and talk to the group to ask Lauren questions or participate in different phases of the meeting. There will also be a chat and everyone will be able to type their comments or questions that way as well. if you have any questions you can ask me by email at <j99...><mailto:<j99...>.

All are welcome.
