- Comments: "Seen where Sundial Trail meets the river about here:
45.564810, -122.400310 It was rainy, windy, and I didn't bring a scope, the
river was too high to walk farther on the beach to try for more angles, and
gull in front didn't move so poor photos obtained, hopefully enough for
positive I.D. and documentation. Looks like non-breeding adult, black
smudge "ear" just visible, yellow bill, and black wing tips. About the size
of nearby Mew gulls, but with a paler yellow bill, and black on the wing
tips is just at the end. Wish I could have observed more of this bird
(including those legs!)."

northern edge of Company Lake (largest of two ponds) seen around 12:38 pm
at these coordinates: (45.562804, -122.403632). Bird was closely
associating with large group of BCCH, GCKI, WBNU, BRCR, and DOWO, and
loosely with a large junco flock feeding nearby in the weedy depression. I
didn't notice any distinct call notes that seemed MOCH-like but I'd been
scanning the mixed flocks throughout my walk hoping to stumble across this
bird. Overall, the bird seemed drabber with colder gray tones throughout,
seemed to have a more narrow black throat patch with thinner line extending
to mid-collar. When the bird faced me, the white supercilium flashed and I
was sure of the id. Thanks for spotting this bird Justin!"

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S63376890
- Comments: "I briefly studied four LALOs (of different ages and genders)
through my scope and also heard the "rattle" calls of at least one or two
others when the nervous lark flock would frequently flush. I'll bet that
there are actually several more than five LALOs in this flock. All Laps I
saw were strongly streaked on their mantles, heads, and flanks, but with
vast differences in the amount of black streaking on their chests and rust
color on their necks. All had a bold, dark ear covert facial "frame",
buff-colored face, rufous greater covert wing panel, and a white belly.
Tails were dark brown with white outer retrices.

The flock exhibited a strong site fidelity to the stubble-mulched farm
field on the north side of the open-water ditch known as the "Hot Ditch"."

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S63371859
- Comments: "Mixed within large horned lark flock near the intersection of
Woodruff and Godley Rds. Spent at least 30 minutes counting and recounting
(scope at ranges from 100 -300 yds) as the flock was actively feeding in a
plowed field. Clumped clods obscured a proportion of the flock in any given
view, and constant remixing flights. Sample-counted multiple times and
minimum estimate was 18 longspurs. Maximum single count was 13. Easily
could be as many as 30 in this flock. Also, was surprised to see so many
males, many of which were very colored (can’t remember seeing this many
colored males in winter). One male appeared to be in near breeding plumage
and had an easily visible rufous nape. Colored males were much easier to
