- Comments: "Continuing male (first ebird report with photo on 1/3/20 by Manuel Duran/Alejandra Cedillo): Light brown cheek patch; pink bill with dark base and dark tip and obvious whitish scapulars draped over the black folded wings.--- Today seen from the south end of Coleman beach, at first swimming off the Morro Bay Oyster Company, in front of the Coast Guard's boats, and then moving toward the sand spit.--- The raw area on the forehead observed on January 9, 2020 was not obvious today.

Birds weren’t with juncos or Yellow-rumped Warblers as previously seen. Jay took photos of the pair."
