Subject: [CT Birds] Hammo to Harkness
From Robert Dixon1/11/20 - Myself, Jason Rieger and Doug Warner birded from Hammo to Harkness today with the following highlights.
Hammonassett SP - Willards Island - GRAY CATBIRD, HERMIT THRUSH and many YELLOW - RUMPED WARBLERS. Elsewhere in the park RED-SHOULDERED HAWK and NORTHERN HARRIER and many HORNED LARKS.
East Lyme, Rocky Neck SP - A lone RUSTY BLACKBIRD in the previously reported location and an immature BALD EAGLE.
Warterford, Harkness SP - Drake KING EIDER continues along with BLACK SCOTER, RAZORBILL (2), GREAT CORMORANT (2), BRANT and SWAMP SPARROW (three on the marsh side of the brush dump).Also had BLACK VULTURE (5) over Rte 213 in Waterford and a PEREGRINE FALCON scattering Rock Pigeons on Rte 156 in Old Lyme.
