Subject: [slocobirding] Long-tailed Ducks, Canyon Wrens, etc.
This morning, 2 Long-tailed Ducks were in Morro Bay - one was with
Bufflehead next to the beach (on the south side of the Rock next to the
jetty that joins the Rock), and another was between the floating wooden
platform and the Coast Guard pier. They had different facial patterns. 2
Canyon Wrens were singing on Morro Rock (one on the south side - along
paved Coleman Drive that is closed to car traffic, and another on the east
side of the rock - next to the parking lot with the bathroom). They seem to
be more vocal in the morning. 2 Black-vented Shearwaters flew north by the
Rock, as seen from the high observation spot on the south west side of the
