Subject: [southbaybirds] Munia
Quite a surprise to see 2 SCALY-BREASTED Munia at my home feeder today.  I'm in south San Jose near the 101/85 interchange at the base of Coyote Ridge.  One adult and one juvenile.  The juvenile had just a couple of barred feathers and the breast was not filled in fully.  I can't recall SBMU ever being reported on this side of the valley.  Nice start to the year for my backyard birds.
