Subject: [CT Birds] Ted Gilman Retiring
This month one of Connecticut's greatest heroes in environmental education,
conservation and birding will be retiring after 43 years as senior
naturalist of the Greenwich Audubon Center. Ted Gilman has been a mentor to
me and thousands of other individuals who have attended his bird walks,
programs and presentations which are always marked by his immense
knowledge, humility and excitement in sharing the natural world.

We invite everyone who has known Ted to attend a very special farewell
gathering on Saturday, January 18th at the Greenwich Audubon Center from
2-6 PM. The event is FREE and people will have the opportunity to thank Ted
for his years of inspiration and dedication to the natural world before he
relocates to Indiana in February. Light refreshments will be served and we
also encourage people to bring nature questions to try and 'Stump Ted!'

The entire birding community of Connecticut thanks you Ted for inspiring
four generations of bird and nature lovers.
