Subject: [CT Birds] Amos Lake , Preston
1/3, 11:30 to 1, Rt 164, just south of St Catherine Church. Birded Amos Lake from a construction site along the lake shore. Pink-footed Goose found in with about 1200 Canada Geese. When first arrived there were only about 500 geese. Flocks kept arriving making it difficult to scan the entire flock. It took 90 minutes to locate. In addition there was a grebe, Mergs, Bufflehead, Rough- legged hawk, Great-blue Heron, Crows & a Carolina Wren singing.
