Subject: Harrier
We hiked the HooDoo/Moon Rocks Trail back Camp 70 Road behind Davis today.
It was cold, cloudy, and blowing with snow showers. I only saw five
Black-capped Chickadees and three White-breasted Nuthatches in the almost
five miles. Maybe the birds were smarter than we were.

Then, while waiting for Sarah at the Loom Barn in Canaan Valley, I saw a
male Northern Harrier hunting in the field across from the Loom Barn. I
haven't seen one in the valley for a while. Herb Myers, Harman reporting
birds from Tucker County
