A post made to Joe’s Facebook page says there will be a small public memorial this Friday, 12/27 at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford CT at 11 am. The post says all are welcome to attend and share memories of Joe.

Even today it serves as the printed bible of the birds of CT, with an annotated species list. Also, "Big Joe" had an unending creative vision for new projects relating to birding.
