Subject: [southbaybirds] Yellow-shafted x red-shafted hybrid northern flicker at Arastradero Preserve 12/19
Visible from the Wild Rye trail.  Yellow underwings, narrow red nape crescent and grey head.   Seems that hybrids are visible in the ebird species map under the hybrid designation but don't show up in the hotspot list or rare bird alert, so birding groups are the best ways to hear about them.  Poor picture in ebird list:
