Thanks babe for giving up some Crook Co. morning exploring to look for
these birds reported yesterday by Peter Low (he found 18 and also saw many
distant blackbird flock)! Excellent destionic choice for today, our 1-year
anniversary of the day we met (at Tundra Bean Goose at Finley NWR in Benton
co.)! — “I got my Deschutes co. Tricolored Blackbird on Icy Wimp Rd.” — for
both of us, our first ever looks at female Tricoloreds ! which has a
uniform smooth cold coal maybe gray color under streaking, and white throat
patch. “They all had pointy looking wings.” (& maybe thinner pointier more
needle like bills ?) — Wow, Caleb got a new deschutes county bird every day
of this thanksgiving trip to bend ! & Courtney got 2 new nemesis county
birds ! — “Success. The only totally unsuccessful thing was my trip to
Hatfield sewer ponds, in an entirely unsuccessful way” (no new county
birds, and missed out on several would-have-beens reported later that day
there by Peter L! Eurasian Wigeon, Canvasback, ...)"
