- Comments: "Immat. male, first found by Duncan Evered yesterday. Very
elusive; Bill Tice finally spotted it on NW pond, but it flew south before
anyone else could get on it. I finally refound it on the S pond, and
everyone present got good looks."

wispy/shaggy tuft. Sides mottled but not dark like a female. Seen by me

- Comments: "Duck similar to RNDU with tuft visible off back of head, blue
bill with black nail. First reported yesterday by Duncan Evered, this
elusive duck was briefly spotted today at various times by Suzanne Austin,
Bill Tice and finally by Hendrik Herlyn at 12:30, after which it cooperated
by swimming in view in the south end of the south pond long enough for us
to get good views and photos of varying quality (mine not so special). A
sighting all the more sweet for the effort involved!"

pond. Bird has a fairly obvious 'tuft' on back of head. The duck also had
a all blue bill with a black tip on the bill. The bird was fairly
cooperative only dove about twice and wasn't preening or sleeping."

11/9/19. He heard them calling back and forth on 11/16/19. Our group
watched them for several minutes, fly-catching and perching between
shorepines and driftwood on the edge of the bay. Extensive bright yellow
underparts, notched brown tails, longer bills than WEKI."
