Subject: [MDBirding] Sour grapes
I have a "stand" of wild grapes in the tops of several large backyard
trees, and it is loaded with fruit this year. For over a week it has
attracted 3 Pileated Woodpeckers (at once!), lots of Northern Flickers,
flocks of American Robins, cardinals and White-throated Sparrows. If you
wonder why the birds aren't coming to your feeders, wild food is still
abundant.
