Fern Ridge Dam, beginning at Orchard Point and ending at Kirk Park, was a cool place this morning. It was overcast until 11 when the sun began to break out. The Eurasian Wigeon was with a small group of American Wigeon at the west end of Kirk Pond. The phoebes and Hutton’s Vireo were also at the dam and near the pond. Most of the egrets were flying in a group over Long Tom River from the dam.
