icterid looking bird among 6-8 Robins. Too far to ID, moving closer Mary
heard single musical notes - not something she had heard from Red-winged,
Cowbird, Brewers or Yellow-headed Blackbirds. It flew down and perched
about 20' away to give good, clear looks for a minute+.

Yellow eye, dark eye line from bill through eye to back of head. Brownish
head, lighter above eye, darker (rufous) cap above supercilium. Head,
back, chest patchy brown/black. Chest looked scaly. About the same size
as a Red-winged or Brewer's Blackbird (did not have the bat-like tail of a
Brewer's). Bill straight, pointed, med-length, typical of smaller
icterids.

Located across the street from the Post Office, about 40 yards to the West,
between the street and the pond. "

- Comments: "Initially seen at the top of a tree at about 80', the odd
icterid looking bird among 6-8 Robins. Too far to ID, moving closer Mary
heard single musical notes - not something she had heard from Red-winged,
Cowbird, Brewers or Yellow-headed Blackbirds. It flew down and perched
about 20' away to give good, clear looks for a minute+.
