Date: 11/11/19 2:34 pm From: Alan Prichard <alan.prichard...> Subject: [sbcobirding] Jameson Lake
Observed on and around the lake today:
50+ Band-tailed Pigeon
This flock has been growing steadily, likely because of the copious amounts of acorns
5 Dark-eyed Junko
5 Acorn Woodpecker
2 Western Scrub Jay
24 Ruddy Duck
This probably a conservative number
4 Pied-billed Grebe
1 American Kestrel
2 Common Loon
These two have been hanging around the dam for a month or so
2 Say’s Phoebe
50 American Coot adults, 7 juvenile
This is also likely a conservative number
3 Bufflehead
4 Mallard
1 Harrier
I’ve spotting this one regularly for the past two weeks
2 American Crow
1 Great Blue Heron
3 Red-tailed Hawk
1 Eared Grebe
4 Ring-necked Duck
2 Hooded Merganser
1 Hermit Thrush
Some birds I’ve been seeing regularly but missed today include a pair of Green Herons that have been steady guests for 2 or 3 months, 2-4 Great Egrets and 3-5 Snowy Egrets.
