This phenomenon is usually visible on weather radar, showing as an expanding donut for each roost. I just checked this morning's radar image at the time of roost dispersal and there is no signature to indicate the roosts have yet formed. May be a bit early in November yet...

I read about the “bird tornado” on hwy 18 between Vacherie and Edgard of 20
million tree swallows this time of year. I would appreciate anyone
reporting whether this phenomenon has been occurring, as I interested in
