Subject: [obol] Re: [eBird Alert] Oregon Rare Bird Alert -- PLEASE DON'T COPY THE WHOLE BLESSED THING!
Hey folks,

P.L.E.A.S.E don't respond to the daily list of eBird RBA's by copying the whole listing, if you want to comment on a particular report. It gums up the OBOL digests. Two other subscribers have complained about this in the past 24 hours.

About this particular report (of an Eastern Kingbird at Ford's Pond near Sutherlin), this is within three miles or so the purported Cassin's Kingbird from last week's eRBAs. Speculative explanations could include:

(1) Sutherlin is now a regular Bermuda triangle for rare kingbirds; or
(2) Someone ticked the wrong box.

The eBird checklist that generated this eRBA has been deleted (apparently by the observer), so you can draw your own conclusions. But meanwhile the daily OBOL digest has accumulated a couple hundred of extra lines of gobbledygook.

If you want to comment on a specific eRBA, please take a few seconds to trim off the rinds.

Thanks,
Joel (another digest subscriber)
