The Tropical Kingbird at Newport seemed to be hiding from the wind on the rocks by the shore. It is my understanding that the Birds that wander up the coast are overachievers in the process of post breeding dispersal. Is there any information about whether such birds succeed in returning to there normal range? Would leaving a gift of meal worms help them winter in place?
