Well... no wind = no hawks and that's close to what we had today. A tough day that had some promise early on with a light steady breeze from the NW changing quickly to variable winds at 0-4mph. Our Bird of the Day selection goes to the Merlin that zipped thru our binocular field of view as we were watching a distant bald eagle. It passed by at close range and filled the bins briefly. We also noted some decent numbers of TV's cruising by the ridge.
Non-raptor Observations: Monarch- 1 Buckmoths Ravens- 4 TV's & BV'S ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jim Thomson (<hawkinflight...>)
