Temps- 39-61 Deg.F, AM wind started from NW@4-7 mph but changed
to a more variable wind with lowered wind speeds at 0-4mph

Well... no wind = no hawks and that's close to what we had today.
A tough day that had some promise early on with a light steady breeze
from the NW changing quickly to variable winds at 0-4mph.
Our Bird of the Day selection goes to the Merlin that zipped thru our
binocular field of view as we were watching a distant bald eagle.
It passed by at close range and filled the bins briefly.
We also noted some decent numbers of TV's cruising by the ridge.
