Subject: [pen-bird] Say's Phoebe at Bay Meadows Park
Peter Headland and I took a stroll around Bay Meadows Park this morning and saw plenty of expected birds: residents such as Bushtits, Anna's Hummingbirds, and Black Phoebes; American Coots and Mallards on the pond; winter birds such as White-crowned Sparrows and Yellow-rumped Warblers. The most interesting arrival though was a Say's Phoebe, which was scuffling with Black Phoebes over exactly who owned a good patch of rough grass.
