I hiked up Mt Bolivar in far SE Coos early AM. Pretty quiet. Scads of Varied Thrushes was the highlight. Multiple birds in many snags as I hiked up. Yes a single flock of siskins!
On the way back to Coos Bay I had 4 getting late VG Swallows in Powers high up and a N MOCKINGBIRD that flew across the Powers Hwy at the 9.2 mile mark and landed atop a bush where I had good looks at it. Out in the middle of nowhere- they could breed in that area and no one would know.
Sunny and windy back in Coos Bay now, Happy Birding! Tim R Coos Bay
