Weather:
Strong W winds all day with 20-28.7C temps. Mostly cloudy with lots of dark
clouds in final hour and a light rain beginning at 3pm. Very clear
visibility.

Raptor Observations:
Today's count took us past 26,000 raptors for the season thus far. Most
birds were showing low over the ridge, fighting the winds, eventually
rising up and then streaming down the SE side of the gap. The birds got a
little higher in afternoon. The bulk of today's flight occurred between
10am-2pm. Two adult Peregrine Falcon and three adult Bald Eagle. One kettle
of 8 Broad-wings formed briefly. The first vulture didn't appear until
10:45am.

Non-raptor Observations:
A hot air balloon lifting off early to the east. Many migrating warblers
crossing through the gap in first hour or two. 17 Monarchs, 184 Chimney
Swift, 1 Barn Swallow, 4 Red-headed Woodpecker, 32 Northern Flicker, 55
Blue Jay, 20 waxwing, 1 Catbird, 1 Cape May Warbler, 2 Black-throated Blue
Warbler, 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeak, 12 Raven.
