Subject: [VA-bird] western Albemarle: hummer, Wood Thrush, Barred Owl, vireo, warblers, etc.
Hummer here this morning.  Also a Wood Thrush that's been chattering a lot on and off around the yard since 6:42 AM. A Barred Owl could just be heard over the crickets at 7:09 AM.  This local bird never says "Who cooks for you-all?"  It just repeats "Who cooks for you" over and over.  There may have been a second owl responding, but the crickets were too loud and the owls too distant to know for sure.
A male American Redstart, a Black-and-white Warbler, a Black-throated Green, a Blue-headed Vireo, and a  Yellow-billed Cuckoo were here shortly before 11:30 AM.
